Joshua Soutelo Vieira completed Computer Engineering with specialization in “Software Design” in 2020, and the International Master’s Degree in Computer Vision in 2022, both at the University of Vigo. In his master’s thesis, entitled “Are meta-learning techniques industry-ready? A comparative study” performed in AIMEN Technology Centre, he researched the effect of meta-learning to create sample-efficient deep learning networks for industry defect automatic inspection. Currently, he is part of the GTM group and he is doing research in end-to-end automatic sign language translation.
