Short CV
DaríoTilves obtained the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Vigo in 2016 and 2018, respectively. During his master’s program, conducted an internship at Ultreia Communications S.L., where he focused on efficiently programming of physical optical algorithms for GPUs, with the results of his research in his master thesis titled “Electromagnetic Simulation of large Surfaces”. From 2018 to 2020, he worked as a researcher at the AtlanTTic Research Centre in collaboration with the GTM group, where he specialized in deep neural networks and computer vision techniques for recognizing Spanish sign language. In the subsequent period, from 2020 to 2023, Darío was employed at the Automotive Technology Center of Galicia, where he applied deep learning techniques to predict the movement and uncertainty of all agents in a driving scenario. Currently, he is back at the AtlanTTic Research Centre, collaborating with the GTM group on a project funded by the Spanish goverment titled “Medicina Personalizada (MedPer) en la detección precoz del deterioro cognitivo (DC) preclínico. Desarrollo de un modelo predictivo de riesgo”. In his current role, he is researching the potential of cognitive impairment prediction using language models in conjunction with machine learning techniques.
